Beckoned by the authority of Singareni Collieries, this institution was started in 1963. The School prepares boys and girls (K.G. to X) for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examinations through the medium of English as well as Telugu.
03. MOTTO:
“LEAD KINDLY LIGHT” is the motto of the School.
04. A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE INSTITUTION:
On 10th of June, 1963, beckoned by the Management of Singareni Collieries, the Montfort Brothers of St.Gabriel started the School. The School has been named St.Joseph’s High School, with “Lead Kindly Light” as the School Motto and Blue and White as the School colours. Bro. Amancius was the first Principal. Our School had a humble beginning with 130 students, 8 teachers and five classes.
Years have come and gone; and now we are at the threshold of the 47th year of this institution with 1450 students. The mutual bond of relationship between the authority of SCCL and the Montfort Brothers, which has been sustained over the test of time, has definitely found its fecundity both in letter and spirit. A genuine appraisal about this institution’s activities and achievements, staying at the heart of SCCL, would bear ample testimony that wonders have taken place at the realm of youth animation and that we have today Company Employees’ Children spread all over the world as worthy citizens of this global community.
05. TARGET GROUPS:
[a] Singareni Colleries Employees’ Children.
[b] The Scheduled Tribe Children from the neighbourhood villages of this Agency Area.
